Cold with snow in east and Scandinavia

Today
Today the warmest temperatures will be found across Iberia where highs of 30C are expected in southern Spain. Here it's a dry, sunny day. Quite a cold day across northern parts of Europe and temperatures across Finland won't make it above freezing. An area of rain is expected across England, Belgium and The Netherlands. Lots of showers, some heavy to affect eastern France, Germany, Austria, southern parts of Poland and the Czech Republic. Spells of heavier rain to come across the Adriatic Region and much of the Balkans. Showers will also affect Turkey and parts of Italy. A band of rain lies from central Russia into the Ukraine. Outbreaks of snow and snow showers are forecast across Norway, Sweden, Finland, The Baltic States and northern Russia. Later a few wintry showers may run in across northern Poland.



Monday
Very warm to hot, dry and sunny across Spain and Portugal today with southern areas the hottest. A number of showers are forecast across Britain, northern France, The Low Countries, Denmark and Germany with more persistent rain across southern Germany, Austria, the Czech Republic and Poland. Another cold, wintry day is expected across Norway, Sweden, Finland, The Baltic States and northern Russia with snow showers. It becomes dry across the Ukraine with early rain clearing the east. A mainly dry day across the Adriatic Region. Heavy rain is expected across Bulgaria with heavy showers across Greece. Further showers develop across Italy and a few as well across Turkey.
