Hot and sunny across the Mediterranean


Friday
Dry and sunny across most of Spain and Portugal, with temperatures up to 33C in southern areas, but nearer 25C on the Biscay coast. A few thunderstorms breaking out for the Pyrenees, southern France and the Alps. Slack pressure across Italy, Greece , the Balkans and areas toward the Black Sea, widely hot and dry, highs 35C. Thundery rain for eastern Poland. Dry for the Low Countries and much of Germany, 23 to 26C. Much of northern France will also stay dry, although toward Brittany it will be windy with rain spreading from the west. High pressure over Scandinavia brings plenty of dry weather, although a weak front across southern Norway and Sweden brings cloud and patchy rain, although tending to fade. A few showers for Finland.

Staying hot and dry for south & south-eastern Europe. Plenty of sunshine for Spain and Portugal, and the Mediterranean. A cold front across France triggers areas of thunderstorms. Low pressure over the British Isles triggers showery conditions for northern France and the Low Countries. Some thundery rain for Germany and the Alps. Largely dry for eastern Europe, although a zone of rain is likely to affect Ukraine. Hot for Hungary and the Balkans, widely into the mid-30s Celsius. Much of Scandinavia remains dry, although showers possible over the mountains of Norway. Showers breaking out too for Finland.
