Unsettled across many parts of Europe, fair in central Mediterranean
Tuesday Patchy rain moves across southern Spain, but much of Iberia will be dry, highs 14 to 18C. A brighter day for much of France, although a few showers are possible. Blustery winds and showery for the Low Countries and Germany. Scattered showers for Italy, and some frequent bursts of rain for the Balkan states. A trough of low pressure moves east toward the Black Sea, bringing a spell of rain to Ukraine, Romania and Bulgaria. Local showers for Greece . Central-eastern Europe should be drier, with sunny spells for Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Low pressure over the southern Baltic produces rain and snow for south-east Sweden and Finland. Meanwhile, Norway stays largely dry but chilly.
Wednesday Heavy rain continues to affect western parts of Spain and Portugal. Eastern Spain and the balearics should be dry with sunny spells. A fair day in Italy too, although some morning mist and fog patches here. More sunshine to come in Greece with plenty of sunshine in Turkey too. Rain and wind in the west of France. Eastern France should be dry although rather cloudy. A fair day for the Low Countries with some sunny spells here. More sunshine to come in Germany and dry too. Poland will have some rain in the north but drier to the south. Switzerland and Hungary as well as Austria should be mostly dry with sunny periods here. Sunny spells and an odd shower in Denmark. Some heavy showers of rain, sleet and snow in much of Sweden. Cloud, rain and sleet for the Baltic States whilst snow affects Finland. Norway will have sunny spells and a few showers.
