Dry central Europe, colder east with some snow

Tuesday
High pressure extends over much of western Europe bringing settled conditions for many countries. A few showers for southern Spain and the Balearics, whilst northern Spain and much of Portugal should be dry although quite breezy. Dry for France, the Alps, Germany and Italy, plus much of the central Mediterranean.
Low pressure over the eastern Med brings showery and cool conditions to Greece, some rain and snow for Turkey plus heavy and thundery downpours for Cyprus. Showers also affect Black Sea coasts of Romania and Bulgaria with a risk of snow.
Breezy for Poland and the Baltic states with some rain and snow pushing eastwards. Mainly dry for southern Scandinavia, whilst frequent snow affects northern areas on strong westerly winds, rain near to coasts in western Norway.

Wednesday
Showers in southern Spain through today. There will be pleasant sunshine in the Balearics and through Corsica and Sardinia. Fair for most of Italy although with some morning mist and fog patches here. Greece should be dry with sunshine. Col ion Turkey, sunshine in the west but some sleet and snow in the east.
France will have some mist and fog in northern areas, but the south should be brighter with sunny spells. Further spells of sunshine in the Low Countries with some patchy rain and breezy weather for northern Germany. Rain and breezy in northern Poland. Hungary and Austria as well as Switzerland will be dry with some sunny spells.
Breezy in Denmark as rain passes east. Breezy and damp in the Baltic States and Finland. Fair for Sweden and dry here. Some rain in western Norway, this being heavy in places. Snow showers to the north.
