A chilly and unsettled spell of weather continues for much of Europe


Friday
Wet in northern Spain through Friday. The south will be dry and sunny but cold. Showers and rain in the Balearics and this rain will be affecting Corsica and Sardinia too. More rain in central and northern parts of Italy. Greece will have a few showers in the west. Much of Turkey should be dry and sunny.
Rain affects western France. Brighter and drier to the north and east. Isolated showers for the Low Countries with rain for southeastern Germany. Northwestern Germany should be dry. Poland will be dry and mild with sunny spells, while it also stays dry in Hungary. Austria and Switzerland will have periods of rain with further snow over The Alps.
Denmark will have a mix of sunshine and showers. More rain in southern Sweden. The Baltic States will be mild with broken cloud with mild weather too in Finland. Norway will be chilly and dry with sunshine.

Saturday
Showery outbreaks of rain, some of them heavy, affect northern Spain and spread south through Portugal and western Spain on Saturday. Showers ease from the Balearic Islands but persist over Corsica and Sardinia. Further outbreaks of rain for western and southern Italy but some spells of sunshine developing from the north. Greece starts dry and bright but heavy rain moves into the west later. Staying dry and fine for Turkey.
A band of heavy rain sweeps into northwest France later in the day. Ahead of this, for eastern France and the Low Countries it's bright with a few isolated showers. Outbreaks of rain and snow clear to the northeast from Switzerland, Austria, the Czech Republic and eastern Germany leaving a dry and bright but cold afternoon here. Cloudy with some heavy rain for western Poland, dry and bright to the east.
Sunny spells with isolated showers for Denmark. Isolated showers affecting western and eastern fringes of the Baltic States too. Heavy rain affects southeastern Sweden and sweeps north later into southern Finland. Ahead of this snow showers affect central Sweden and northern Finland. Mostly dry for Norway with more cloud to the east and a few wintry showers here too.
