Blustery and unsettled for Scandinavia, some snow

Friday
High pressure is positioned over north-western Europe, bringing fair weather to France, the Low Countries, much of the Alps and Iberia. Warm in south-western Spain and Portugal, topping 20C. Low pressure over the central Mediterranean brings thundery rain to southern Italy and Greece. Outbreaks of rain also affect Bulgaria and Romania. A weak cold front extends from western Russia into central Europe, bringing cloudy and cool conditions, perhaps a little rain, but amounts small. Highs of 6 to 10C for Germany and Poland, up to 10 to 15C for France. Blustery across Scandinavia. Early rain will clear from the Baltic states. A mix of rain and snow for Finland. Persistent snow for northern Sweden, but largely dry for southern Sweden. Rain and mountain snow most of the day for western Norway.

Saturday
Fair weather continues for west & south-western Europe. Warmest in southern Portugal and south-west Spain, again 20C or above. Dry across the western Mediterranean, much of Italy, the Alps, southern Germany and France. A good amount of sunshine, but possible low-lying fog patches in the morning. Areas of rain for Greece, Bulgaria and Romania, risk of thunderstorms.
A cold front moves south-east across southern Scandinavia into northern-central Europe. Heavy rain moves from Sweden and Denmark into northern Germany and Poland. Showery for Denmark and the Netherlands. Frequent rain and snow for western Norway. Bright but cold across northern Scandinavia, with temperatures staying near or below freezing.
