Cold with wintry showers over northern Europe; heavy, sometimes thundery, showers south


Sunday
Some showers affecting northern parts of Spain today. Further showers in southwest Spain and southern Portugal. Fair for the rest of Iberia with sunny spells. Showery for the Balearics, Corsica and Sardinia as well as Italy. Showers affect parts of Greece and Turkey though these tend to fade through the day.
Windy in France and cold too. Good periods of sunshine in central and northern France, some some showers to the south. Cold again in the Low Countries and well as Germany and Poland. There will be showers in central and southern areas of Poland, Germany and these extend through Austria, Hungary and Switzerland.
Good spells of sunshine in Denmark. More dry weather and some sunshine in the Baltic States as well as Finland. Further sunny intervals for most of Sweden. Norway will have some heavy showers over western and northern coasts and hills, these falling as snow for many.

Monday
Wintry showers for the Pyrenees and Cantabrian mountains but otherwise dry and bright across northern Spain and Portugal. Showers develop to the south - these heavy and thundery. Showery for the Balearic Islands and Italy, again, some of which could be rather heavy. After a dry start in Greece and Turkey, heavy, sometimes thundery, showers develop here too.
Wintry showers affect southern France while it stays dry and bright to the north. Mostly dry and bright for the Low Countries and Germany too though there could be isolated showers here at times to the north. Mostly dry and bright for Poland and the Czech Republic. Snow at first for Switzerland and Austria though this tends to ease through the day.
A few showers for southern Denmark but otherwise dry and bright. Dry and bright too for the Baltic States with wintry showers arriving to the west later. Mostly dry and bright across Norway, Sweden and Finland with isolated wintry showers for southern Finland at first and arriving over western Norway later.
