Areas of low pressure bring outbreaks of rain and showers to much of western and central Europe


Saturday
Scattered showers affect northern parts of Spain and Portugal but tend to ease through the day. Staying dry and bright to the south. Cloud thickens over northern Italy giving showers at times though it stays dry and sunny to the south. Another dry and bright day for Greece and western Turkey while rain and snow ease over central and eastern Turkey to give a dry and fine end to the day there.
A band of heavy rain spreads across eastern France, the Low Countries, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia on Saturday as a cold front sinks southeast. Feeling cooler following the rain with mostly cloudy skies and just the occasional bright spell.
A mostly cloudy day for Denmark and the Baltic States with rain arriving in both regions through the afternoon. Starting dry for Finland but a band of rain, sleet and snow edges northeastward across the country later. Snow for northern Sweden while light rain affects southern areas. Dry but rather cloudy in between while much of Norway is also cloudy but dry away from southwestern coasts where there will be frequent outbreaks of rain, sleet and snow.

Sunday
A dry and fine day for Portugal, Spain, the Balearic Islands, Corsica, Sardinia and Italy on Sunday. More in the way of cloud around over northern areas at times, tending to be brighter over southern areas. Dry and bright conditions prevail over Greece and Turkey too.
An area of heavy rain spreads across northern France into the Low Countries, western and southern parts of Germany as well as Switzerland and Austria. This is followed by another band of rain that edges eastward over northern France, the Low Countries and southwestern Germany. A mixture of sunny spells and frequent scattered showers for Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Drier and brighter for Hungary.
A mostly dry and fair day for Denmark. Outbreaks of rain affect the Baltic States but tend to clear to the east. Showers affecting much of Finland on Sunday while Sweden stays mostly dry with some good spells of sunshine developing. Dry and bright for southeastern Norway, tending wetter for western coastal regions.
