Unsettled conditions continue for northern and western parts of Europe


Friday
Showers for Portugal and western parts of Spain on Friday, giving way to heavier rain in the far northwest later. Staying dry and bright to the east. Mostly dry and bright for Italy too though there may be some cloud around for central areas and isolated showers for western coasts at times. A dry and sunny day for Greece and western Turkey. Heavy rain and snow for central and eastern parts of Turkey.
Largely cloudy for France and Germany with showers for southern areas tending to ease through the day. Rain arrives over northwestern parts of both countries as well as Benelux later. Showery outbreaks of rain also ease from Switzerland, Austria, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovakia with a few bright spells developing for western areas. A wet day for eastern Poland, drier but cloudy to the west.
A cloudy start for Denmark with rain arriving later. Rain clears from the Baltic States leaving a cloudy day with isolated showers. A mostly dry and cloudy day for Finland with isolated snow showers to the south. Snow showers affecting northern and western parts of Sweden too as well as western Norway.

Saturday
Scattered showers affect northern parts of Spain and Portugal but tend to ease through the day. Staying dry and bright to the south. Cloud thickens over northern Italy giving showers at times though it stays dry and sunny to the south. Another dry and bright day for Greece and western Turkey while rain and snow ease over central and eastern Turkey to give a dry and fine end to the day there.
A band of heavy rain spreads across eastern France, the Low Countries, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia on Saturday as a cold front sinks southeast. Feeling cooler following the rain with mostly cloudy skies and just the occasional bright spell.
A mostly cloudy day for Denmark and the Baltic States with rain arriving in both regions through the afternoon. Starting dry for Finland but a band of rain, sleet and snow edges northeastward across the country later. Snow for northern Sweden while light rain affects southern areas. Dry but rather cloudy in between while much of Norway is also cloudy but dry away from southwestern coasts where there will be frequent outbreaks of rain, sleet and snow.
