Rain across northern Europe and windy too, fair for the south with plenty of sunshine


Wednesday
High pressure remains in charge across central and southern Europe. Extensively dry for Spain and Portugal, the Mediterranean, Alps and France. Reaching around 16C again in southern Spain. 5 to 8C for France and Germany. Breezy for northern Germany Denmark and Poland, with some persistent rain around the southern Baltic.
Rain and snow extends east into Ukraine, Belarus and western Russia. Generally dry for south-eastern Europe. Showery for northern Turkey. Patchy rain for western Norway. Drier but cold elsewhere across Scandinavia, with scattered snow showers in the north.


Thursday
Dry for most of Spain and Portugal on Thursday. There will be some cloud and outbreaks of rain in the north though. Dry in the rest of the central Mediterranean area with some good spells of sunshine across Italy. Greece and Turkey should be fine too with more sunny spells to come here.
Rain and strong winds in northern and western France. The Low Countries and Germany should be dry with good spells of sunshine. Fair in Switzerland and Austria and well as Hungary. Southern and eastern France should be dry with sunny spells here.
Windy with rain in Denmark, especially the north. Rain and cloud as well as strong winds for the Baltic States. Rain and snow arriving in Finland, gales here too. Breezy for Sweden with sunny spells and scattered showers. Cloud and strong winds in western Norway, rain, sleet and snow here too.
