Wet across much of central and northern Europe, snow in Scandinavia

New Year's Eve
Fair for Spain and Portugal with good spells of sunshine to close 2023. Fine too in the Balearics although some showers for central and northern Italy. Southern Italy will be drier and brighter. Greece and Turkey should be dry with good spells of sunshine throughout.
Wind, rain and showers affecting France, gales in the north and west. Further rain in the Low Countries as well as severe gales. Windy and wet in northern Germany, less windy but still wet south. Poland should be bright and dry.
Windy and wet for Denmark with some heavy periods of rain. Fair for the Baltic States and dry here but cold. Chilly for Finland and dry. Cold for most of Sweden but some snow in the south. Gales and snow for southern Norway, better in central and northern areas.

New Year's Day
Another fair day for much of Iberia, although some showers may affect the far north. A few showers again in northern Italy but much of Majorca, Menorca and Ibiza should be fine. Greece and Turkey will be dry with god spells of sunshine throughout the day.
Gales for France with heavy rain in the north, drier to the south.Windy in Germany and the Low Countries, a few showers here. Rain affecting the east of Poland but drier in the west. Hungary and Austria should be dry with sunny spells. A few showers in western Switzerland.
Cloudy and wet for Denmark. Some snow in the Baltic States, blizzards here as well. Further snow in southern Sweden and southern Norway. Cold and drier in northern areas of Scandinavia.
