Fine for France, showers over the Alps

Monday
Hot and dry across Spain and Portugal, widely topping 40C inland in the south. A few scattered showers do look to develop across eastern areas later. Staying dry across the Balearics and Italy. Some heavy and thundery showers across mainland Greece though the islands do look to remain dry. Turkey will also be dry and hot. France is going to have another dry day with more sunshine.
Fair for the Low Countries while a band of rain clears from the west across Germany, heavy bursts of rain expected in the north here. Sunshine and showers across Switzerland into parts of Austria. Heavy rain on to west Poland later in the day.
A wet start in Denmark then rain clears to dry and fine conditions. Thundery rain moves into southern regions of Norway and Sweden, drier further north. Very warm across Scandinavia, 25 to 28C. Possible rain later for Lithuania but elsewhere should stay dry. Largely dry and fine across Finland.

Tuesday
Hot and dry across Spain and Portugal, topping 40C again toward the southwest. Fresher toward the Biscay coast. Local showers around the Pyrenees. Fine and warm across the Mediterranean. Risk of local thunderstorms for mainland Greece and northern Turkey
. Scattered showers for the Alps, risk thundery for Austria. An odd shower for northern Italy. Sunny spells and pleasantly warm for France and the Low Countries. Much of Germany stays dry, but expect scattered showers in the north, which also affect Denmark and Poland. Some more organised rain for the southern Baltic and Sweden. Showers inland for Norway, drier and sunnier near the coast. Mainly dry for northern Sweden. Local showers forming over Finland, warm and quite humid, up to 25C.
